Basic Rifle Instructor (BRI) prerequisites:

All participants must be able to lawfully possess long guns in the jurisdiction where range activities are being conducted.
NRA basic rifle instructor candidates must be proficient rifle shooters prior to entry into the course. This course is not intended nor designed to teach the instructor candidate how to shoot.
This course includes Basic Instructor Training (BIT).

All candidates must have sat "BIT" in the past 2 years. If you have never taken BIT, or have sat BIT but more than two years has elapsed, << see here >>

Sat 02/25/2017; 9:00am - 5:00pm [classroom - Yonkers NY]

Sun 03/05/2017;  9:00am -   5:00pm [classroom - Yonkers NY]
Sat 03/11/2017; 9:00am - 1:00pm [range - Blue Mountain Sportsman Center]



Course fee: $300; includes all materials and range use fees, does not include ammunition or certification fees payable directly to the NRA (every two years : $50 for non NRA members, $30 for NRA members) upon successful completion of the course.

Classroom portions of this course will be held at in Yonkers.
Range exercises will be conducted at the Blue Mountain Sportsman Center in Cortlandt NY (Westchester County).
