Basic Instructor Training / Basic Pistol Instructor (BPI) prerequisites:
- This is a "BIT" (Basic Instructor Training) course. All NRA instructor candidates who are not NRA instructors or, who are instructors with BIT certification that is outside of two years are required to sit BIT.
- All participants must be able to lawfully possess handguns in the jurisdiction where range activities are being conducted.
- NRA basic pistol instructor candidates must complete a pre-course qualification prior to sitting the class.

Range Exercises

Course fees: $400.00
Course fee includes all materials and range use fees, does not include ammunition or certification fees payable directly to the NRA (every two years : $60 for non NRA members, $35 for NRA members) upon successful completion of the course.
